Our Favorite Waffles
Crispy and light waffles with great flavor

- 3/4 cup AP flour
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1/3 cup canola oil
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 tsp sugar
- 3/4 tsp vanilla
- butter, whipped cream or syrup
Combine the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, salt and whisk to combine well. Add the milk, oil, egg and vanilla and mix well. Let sit for 30 minutes.
Heat up waffle iron and ladle appropriate amount of batter for your maker into the well. Cook on a medium setting until the waffle is crisp and brown. Serve immediately.
