21st Century Cocktail

Interesting rum cocktail with notes of chocolate and orange

Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 oz good dark rum
  • 3/4 oz creme de cacao
  • 3/4 oz Lillet blanc or St. Germaine
  • 1/2 oz lemon or orange juice I used true orange powder (link in post)
  • 2 dashes chocolate bitters
  • 1/2 tsp Fernet-Branca, Fernet-Vallet or another amaro

Instructions
 

  • Combine the ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake until cold. Serve in a chilled coupe glass or with an ice cube and garnish with an orange slice if you like.
