Turkey Lettuce Wraps
Flavorful ground turkey in an Asian flavored sauce served in lettuce leaves with water chestnuts and scallions

- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 lb ground turkey or chicken
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- 1 onion diced
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger minced
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup hoisin sauce more to taste
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp sriracha if you like it spicy
- 1 8oz can whole water chestnuts diced
- 4 scallions sliced
- butter lettuce leaves for serving
Heat the oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the ground meat, onion, garlic and ginger and season with salt and pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally until the meat is full cooked.
Add the sauce ingredients and the water chestnuts along with a 1/4 cup of water and simmer until it reduces into a thick sauce.
Serve in lettuce leaves with scallions on top.
