My Favorite Holiday Treats

It is prime baking time right now so I thought I would gather together my favorite holiday bakes in one place. These are the goodies I bake year after year and we keep on loving them. 🙂

Norwegian Christmas Cookies – These are a super light, flaky, buttery cookie with lemon and almond. I’ve been making these for about 35 years and it doesn’t feel like Christmas without them.

Toffee – such a simple recipe, but SO good. Try to stop eating it.

Brown Sugar Chocolate Fudge – quite literally the only fudge recipe I ever make because it is too good to stop.

Brown Butter Shortbread Cookies – these have a great flavor and work well as cut out or designed cookies

Oreo Truffles – These disappear faster than anything else in my house. Oreo filling covered by milk or dark chocolate.

Soft Glazed Gingerbread – my favorite gingerbread by far. These have amazing flavor, and are soft and chewy.

Christmas Crack – Simple to make and ohhh so addicting. Saltines are the base, combined with caramel, chocolate and toffee bits.

White Chocolate Dipped Ginger Cookies – These are chewier and crispier than the soft glazed gingerbread and the white chocolate dip goes SO well with them.

Leckerli – A dense, highly spiced cookie bar with a very addicting chewy texture and candied orange peel.

I also have many more cookie recipes you can check out, but these are my favorites for the holidays. 🙂
