Peanut Butter Pie

You really can’t go wrong with the chocolate/peanut butter combo, and this simple peanut butter pie recipe is easy to make and so delicious!

This is one of my son’s favorite pies, and you only need a few ingredients to make it. I use oreos for the crust, to get the chocolate peanut butter flavor, but if want pure peanut butter flavor you could also use a graham cracker crust.

There are only 4 ingredients for the filling and it is no bake aside from a short baking time for the crust, so it comes together super fast. You can top it with whipped cream or some cut up Reese’s cups if you like, but my family likes it plain just like the picture.

For the crust:

  • 25 Oreos processed in food processor into crumbs
  • 5 tbsp salted butter melted

For the pie:

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 8oz package cream cheese fully softened
  • 1 1/4 cups powdered sugar
  • 8 oz fresh whipped cream or cool whip I used real whipped cream

For the crust:

  • Preheat the oven to 350˚. Place the Oreos in the bowl of a large food processor. Process until finely crushed, about 1 minute. Transfer to a bowl and pour the melted butter over top. Stir with a fork to combine. Press the Oreo mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a pie plate. Bake for 5 to 7 minutes, or until set. Remove from oven and allow to cool completely.

For the filling:

  • In the bowl of a stand mixer with a whisk attachment, beat the peanut butter with the cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar and beat until smooth. Fold in the whipped cream or cool whip until well mixed.
  • Pour the filling into crust, evening out the top with a knife or spatula. Chill for at least four hours before serving.
