4th of July Side Dish Ideas

It is always nice to bring a dish to a party that everyone loves. If you bring any of these 4th of July side dish ideas, I promise you people will be asking you for the recipes. Check out my recipe index for even more great sides and appetizers.

Crispy Rice Salad – this salad is packed full of fresh veggies, crispy crunchy rice and a tasty soy vinegar dressing that brings it all together.

German Potato Salad – German potato salad is slightly sweet, a bit tart from the vinegar with a punch of Dijon mustard, tasty bacon and some pepper and celery seed. It is super easy to make and really good served warm or room temp which makes it great for a buffet.

Mexican Charred Corn Salad – Smoky, spicy, and irresistibly creamy—this Mexican charred corn salad is loaded with flavor. Sweet corn is flame-charred until golden and tossed with finely diced jalapeño, a squeeze of fresh lime, creamy mayo, a pinch of chili powder, and crumbled cotija cheese. It’s the perfect balance of heat, tang, and richness in every bite.

Garlic Tomato Mozzarella Star Bread – savory, cheesy, full of garlic flavor and beautiful to look at, this bread will definitely be the star of the party.

Bacon Blue Cheese Potato Salad – This recipe is my favorite variant of potato salad. It is not remotely your typical mayo heavy potato salad recipe. In fact, there is no mayo at all. It is full of flavor from the arugula, parsley, scallions, bacon, blue cheese and sherry vinegar.

Reuben Rolls with Thousand Island Dip – These reuben rolls with homemade thousand island dipping sauce are yummmmmmmmm. That pretty much sums it up. These will also be the hit of any party.

Roasted Garlic Deviled Eggs with Bacon and Chives – Not your ordinary deviled eggs. These get a huge boost of flavor from roasted garlic, bacon and chives.

Blue Cheese Garlic Pull Apart Bread – Lots of blue cheese and garlic flavor, and great for sharing.

Tiger Salad – Tiger vegetable salad (lao hu cai) is a fierce, fiery salad bursting with bold flavor. Fresh green chilies, scallions, garlic, and heaps of cilantro come together in a punchy mix of soy, vinegar, and sesame oil. Crisp, herbaceous, and unapologetically spicy — this is the kind of salad that bites back (in the best way).

Hope you make one or a few of these for your 4th of July or upcoming party or bbq. 🙂
