Favola Cocktail

It’s Saturday, so time to share another interesting cocktail recipe with you all. I was happy when I stumbled on this one, because it uses both limoncello and Italicus, which is a bergamot liqueur.

We love the flavor of bergamot and I had given my husband a bottle of Italicus for some special occasion and I wanted to make a cocktail this week that used it. We also happened to have a bottle of limoncello in our freezer that my sister in law brought us from Italy.

This drink also uses gin. I only had some sevilla orange gin left, but that seemed like it would go well with lemon and bergamot so I used that. You could also sub vodka in this drink if you don’t have gin. The only other ingredients here are some lemon juice and some simple syrup. I left the simple syrup out since the orange gin is sweeter than regular gin.

This cocktail was interesting and flavorful and I hope you will give it a try. I am not a huge fan of limoncello alone, but I loved it in this drink. All the components really balanced each other well and I’d make this one again.
