Strawberry Rhubarb Sour

This strawberry rhubarb sour is a cocktail I made up to make use of the rhubarb gin and bit of regular gin we had left in our liquor supply. It has a tasty sweet and tart flavor with a hint of ginger. Strawberry rhubarb is one of our favorite pie flavors, and it seemed like it would make a tasty drink too.

We had rhubarb gin I used in this. You could also make syrup using fresh or frozen rhubarb and use all regular gin instead. I mixed half and half regular gin and the rhubarb stuff because it is sweeter and I didn’t want this to be an overly sweet drink.

Freeze dried strawberries (and other fruits) are one of the coolest food items to come about in relatively recent times. If you grind them into a powder they make amazingly flavorful baked goods and in this case drinks. They give great strawberry flavor to this cocktail.
