I know my photo here doesn’t really match the name of this drink 🙂 This is in fact the green eyes cocktail, which normally is a lovely pale green color… I had some ripe cherries from my sour cherry tree that I thought would go great with the flavor of this drink, and they have very red juice… so maybe it a red eyes cocktail? In any case, it was delicious.
This is a gin cocktail with lime juice and green chartreuse, and in this case cherries. It has a lovely fresh flavor and is pretty strong, which I love. I think it would be tasty without the cherries too.
Green Eyes Cocktail (with Cherries)
Gin drink with lime and chartreuse
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 oz gin
- 3/4 oz lime juice
- 3/4 oz green chartreuse
- egg white or cocktail foamer optional
- cherries optional
Instructions
- Combine the ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake until cold. Serve over ice.
