I love a good strong cocktail and this one is definitely that. When I read the ingredients initially, my first reaction is that they didn’t sound like they went together and I wasn’t sure I was going to like this one. It did work though, and was actually quite tasty.
This drink is a combo of whiskey, sweet vermouth, coffee liqueur, mezcal and a touch of orange curacao. The little hint of smokiness from the mezcal actually goes really well with the whiskey and coffee. I really enjoyed this one, and it was different from anything else I’ve tried.
Midnight Marauder No. 2
Interesting cocktail made with whiskey, vermouth, coffee, mezcal and curacao
Ingredients
- 1 oz whiskey
- 1/2 oz sweet vermouth
- 1/2 oz coffee liqueur
- 1/4 oz mezcal
- 1 tsp orange curacao
Instructions
- Combine ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake well and strain into a chilled coupe glass. Garnish with lemon or orange peel if desired.
