Bacon Lettuce Tomato and Avocado Bagel Sandwich

bacon lettuce tomato and avocado bagel sandwich

This bacon lettuce tomato and avocado bagel sandwich takes the classic combo to the next level with a generous smear of chive cream cheese and a hearty filling of chopped crispy bacon, crisp lettuce, juicy tomato, and creamy avocado. Piled onto a toasted bagel, it’s the perfect balance of smoky, fresh, and tangy flavors with a satisfying crunch in every bite. Great for brunch, lunch, or anytime you’re craving something bold and delicious.

We really loved these bagel sandwiches, which I made for dinner along with a simple salad. These would also make a great breakfast or lunch. Chopping the lettuce, tomato, bacon and avocado makes it easier to serve on the bagel and also guarantees you get a great mix of them all in each bite.

Servings 4 sandwiches

Ingredients

  • 4 bagels cut and toasted – I used everything bagels
  • 1 container chive cream cheese
  • 1 package bacon cooked and chopped
  • 1 pint cherry tomatoes
  • 2 cups chopped romaine lettuce
  • 1-2 ripe avocados diced

Instructions

  • Cook the bacon and chop. I like to use the oven to cook bacon. To do this, line a baking sheet with heavy duty foil and lay out the bacon. Turn the oven to 325 and put the sheet pan into the cold oven. Bake for 20 minutes, then flip the bacon and cook for another 10-15 minutes, watching it closely near the end until your desired crispness. Drain on paper towels.
  • Toast the bagels and spread cream cheese on both sides. Chop the lettuce, tomatoes, and avocado.
  • In a large bowl, toss the chopped lettuce, bacon, tomato and avocado and scoop onto the bagels. Close the sandwiches and serve.
