Buffalo Hot Dogs are a zesty upgrade to classic dogs! Juicy hot dogs are topped with creamy buffalo mayo, crumbled blue cheese, and crisp, thinly sliced celery for that signature buffalo wing crunch. Spicy, tangy, and totally crave-worthy. Also just about the easiest lunch, dinner or party food you can make.
The mayo here is simple combination of mayo, buffalo sauce (use your favorite brand), salt and a bit of lime juice if you like for extra kick. The addition of crunchy thinly sliced celery actually goes SO well with a hot dog and I am temped to put it on my regular hot dogs too. I liked the blue cheese crumbled on top because it looks appealing, but feel free to add the blue cheese to your buffalo mayo if you prefer.

Buffalo Hot Dogs
Ingredients
- 4 hot dogs I like the beef ones
- 4 hot dog buns
- 1/4 cup mayo
- buffalo sauce to taste I prob used about 2 tbsp
- juice of 1 lime
- salt and pepper
- 2 celery stalks thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup blue cheese crumbles
Instructions
- Make the mayo by mixing the mayo, buffalo sauce, lime, and salt and pepper to taste. Set aside.
- Cook the hot dogs in whatever fashion you prefer. I typically put mine in a skillet with a thin layer of water and cover it over medium heat to let them cook that way until the water is evaporated and then I let them brown up a little.
- If you'd like to toast your buns in a warm skillet or the oven you can. I did and we liked the toasted bun. Place a hot dog on each but and top with some mayo, blue cheese and celery and another drizzle of mayo. Serve.
