It’s Saturday so that means I’m sharing another great cocktail recipe with you. I know sometimes it seems like too much work to make an actual cocktail (at least to me it does), but there is something about drinking one that makes the night feel a little more special. I think it is worth it. Big batch whiskey sours are a simple way to make cocktails for a group.
We had plans to have drinks with some friends last night so I decided to make us all a batch of these. I am not a fan of sour mix because it is so overpoweringly sweet and not as fresh tasting as real citrus juice. I highly suggest using fresh citrus in your drinks. You will like them so much more. 🙂
You do have to juice a lot of lemons/limes for this drink. I use this handy juicer tool which is inexpensive and it makes it go so quickly.
This recipe could not be simpler. Juice a bunch of lemons and limes and combine them with whiskey and simple syrup. You can add Maraschino cherries if you like as well. We use these amazing Luxardo ones which are totally worth the price. You can adjust the sweetness of this drink to your liking. I don’t like really sweet drinks, so I put a lower amount of syrup than the average whiskey sour.
Hope you enjoy a delicious whiskey sour tonight! Or if you are in the mood for something else, check out my other cocktail recipes.
