When I saw this cocktail recipe, I really wanted to try it because it had such an interesting combination of ingredients that honestly didn’t really sound like they would go together. I love to try new and interesting food and drinks so unique combinations always catch my eye.
We had a bottle of delicious pear brandy that I gave my husband as a gift and so that was another win for this drink. It also has mezcal, which is a smokier version of tequila basically, along with ginger and lime. I used my cocktail foamer as usual instead of egg whites here. I also didn’t make ginger syrup as stated in the recipe and instead used Domaine Canton ginger liqueur, so this was quite a strong drink. You can use ginger syrup or simple syrup if you’d like it be a little less intense.
Mezcal and pear brandy both have strong flavors, so this was a potent cocktail but we really liked it. Somehow the combo of flavors does work well together.
