Berliner Cocktail

We tried the Berliner cocktail a few weeks ago, and I didn’t get a chance to post about it, so here it is. Just in time for some weekend cocktail making 🙂 Tonight I’m making a salt and vinegar martini which I am excited about and will post tomorrow… but back to the Berliner.

A Berliner is a gin cocktail, which uses the caraway flavored liqueur called kummel. We love caraway and since we have a bottle of kummel I wanted to try another drink that uses it. This drink also has dry vermouth as well as some lemon juice. This drink was well balanced and delicious. You could taste the kummel, but it is a small amount so it didn’t overpower the drink. We definitely enjoyed these!
