A dirty martini is one of my favorite cocktails, and if you are a fan like me, you might want to try this variation – the salt and vinegar martini. I loved these! They were subtle enough that you aren’t hit in the face with vinegar, but there is enough vinegar and salt to give a pop of interest to the vodka and vermouth.
The vinegar here comes from dill pickle brine. I just used some from a jar of pickles we had in the fridge. The original recipe I saw used brine from homemade pickled carrots, which I often make, but I didn’t have any at the moment. If you had some you could garnish this with some fresh dill. This drink is best served ice cold, so chill your glasses and make sure to get the liquor nice and cold.
