Dubu Jorim is a Korean tofu dish made from firm tofu braised in a spicy, lightly sweet and savory sauce. It is full of flavor and super easy to make. It is delicious topped with scallions and served with rice. This is a great dish for a pot luck because you can make it and let it sit out a while and it tastes great at room temp.
This sauce is really simple to make with just soy sauce, honey, Korean red pepper flakes, water, garlic and scallions. Korean red pepper flakes are not anything like the chili flakes from the grocery store, so don’t swap them. A bag of Korean red pepper flakes goes a long way and you can use it in all kinds of Korean dishes, like this amazing Army Stew.
