I didn’t get around to posting this yesterday. One of my college kids is home for the weekend and it has been a fun and busy weekend. We had one of the warm fall nights we can get in NC on Friday and it was in the 70s and we drank these lovely cocktails on our deck.
This drink is basically a whiskey sour with apple cider added, and it is delicious. I used a bit of the banana syrup I had left from the banana amaro whiskey cocktails we had recently in these too because it was too good to waste. These come together in about a minute, using store bought apple cider.
Apple Cider Whiskey Sour
- 2 oz whiskey
- 1 oz apple cider
- 3/4 oz lemon juice
- 1/2 oz maple syrup I used the banana syrup
- egg white or my fav cocktail foamer (link on my favorite links page)
- Add ingredients other than the egg white or foamer to a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake until very cold. Strain out the ice, add the egg or foamer and shake or froth until you get the foam. Pour into a chilled glass and serve.
