My daughter and I both really love tofu, and she especially likes silken tofu, so I made this super easy silken tofu side dish along with a stir fry we had the other night. This recipe takes 5 minutes, but it has a ton of flavor and is so enjoyable to eat. Silken tofu has a very smooth texture, almost like a flan or panna cotta, but obviously not made of milk. It is a great neutral base for strong Asian flavors.
This sauce is made with a simple mix of soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil (all which can be purchased at any grocery store) and I like to add some Fly by Jing Chili Crisp too because it is so yummy and adds a nice hit of spice to this, but that is optional. This dish makes a great side dish to any Asian meal and can be served room temp, warm or cold. I prefer it slightly warmed.

Easy 5 Minute Silken Tofu
Ingredients
- 1 package silken tofu
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp chili crisp optional
- sliced scallions
- toasted sesame seeds or black sesame seeds
Instructions
- Combine the sauce ingredients aside from the scallions and sesame seeds and mix. Place the tofu in a microwave safe bowl if heating and pour over the sauce. Heat in 30 second increments in the microwave until warmed but not hot. Top with scallions and sesame seeds and serve with sauce spooned over each serving.
