Hermione Granger Cocktail

It has been a while since I posted a cocktail recipe (although we’ve been drinking them :)). This Hermione Granger cocktail (no idea why it’s called that), was super light and tasty and refreshing and I’d make this one again. This drink has a small amount of vinegar in it, which is typical in aContinueContinue reading “Hermione Granger Cocktail”

Spiced Banana Amaro Bourbon Cocktail

I was really excited to try this spiced banana amaro bourbon drink because it sounded unique and it was just as tasty as I hoped it would be. We have some of the spiced banana syrup left and I definitely foresee making more of these! If you aren’t familiar with amaros, they are bittersweet herbalContinueContinue reading “Spiced Banana Amaro Bourbon Cocktail”

Division Bell Cocktail

This week’s cocktail is another I haven’t had before. It is called the division bell, and it is a fruity combo of mezcal, Aperol, maraschino liqueur and lime juice. It was smoky and fruity and a great drink for a warm NC night on our deck. It felt more like summer than fall yesterday, andContinueContinue reading “Division Bell Cocktail”

Northwest Sour

When I saw this cocktail recipe, I really wanted to try it because it had such an interesting combination of ingredients that honestly didn’t really sound like they would go together. I love to try new and interesting food and drinks so unique combinations always catch my eye. We had a bottle of delicious pearContinueContinue reading “Northwest Sour”

Amaretto Sour

It has a lovely almond flavor that goes great in coffee, but it is a bit sweet to drink by itself to me, so I love the combination with lemon juice and whisky in this drink. To make thisContinueContinue reading “Amaretto Sour”

Tick of the Clock Cocktail

This lightly sweet, ginger, lime and tequila cocktail gets it’s pretty color solely from a larger then typical amount of bitters. I loved the flavor of this cocktail. It is best to use blanco tequila for this one. The original recipe for this drink calls for ginger syrup, but we had some Domaine de CantonContinueContinue reading “Tick of the Clock Cocktail”
